About the Author

Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527) was a Florentine statesman, writer, and political theorist. It is believed he considered The Art of War to be his most important work.

Neal Wood was Professor Emeritus of Political Science at York University, Toronto.  His books include Cicero’s Social and Political Thought, Foundations of Political Economy, and A Trumpet of Sedition.
